How I became interested in writing and editing and working with other writers:
I participated in creative writing workshops in high school. Then, in college I had a great teacher Bonnie McMeans at Delaware County Community College who encouraged me to study news writing in her Journalism I and Journalism II courses. I also studied Mass Communication, Communication Law, News Editing, Writing for the Web, and Publishing and Design courses later on at DCCC and at Temple University.
Currently I have 5+ years experience in communications-related environments including content writing, editing, and research. I worked on various teams with various online-build-out client-tele. Proficient in Microsoft Office, Quark, InDesign, and Adobe Photoshop, Word, and Pages. I worked for various businesses and start-ups in the Philadelphia and tri-state area. I am able to provide editing, proofreading, translation, and original writing. Also, able to tutor in reading and writing of English composition.
Additionally, I have training in visual arts and art therapy. I am able to work one-on-one with individuals who would like to learn drawing and painting. Or simply would like an art teacher who is sensitive and supportive of their emotions. Drawing and painting can be a frustrating process for beginners, so I am able to provide a supportive overview of drawing and painting as well as a helping hand for those who may not know how to create, or need assistance doing so.
